The core passion I have for textiles which has a voice in much of my work is present in these works in clay. I am challenged to create fiber-like clay that can be woven, draped, tied, bunched, wrinkled, ripped and yes even sewn. As in all of my work I am fascinated with transformation and the redefinition of material. In this rediscovery and through the element of surprise, I seek to encourage new definitions of what is possible.~

“White is not a mere absence of color; it is a shining and affirmative thing, as fierce as red, as definite as black. God paints in many colors; but He never paints so gorgeously as when He paints in white. ” ― G.K. Chesterton
