Over the course of a year I decided to fill a 9"x9"x3" shadowbox each week with a work of art. My goal was to explore a wide range of techniques and materials that had been brewing in my mind for a long time but which I hadn’t had time to execute. I wanted to take artistic risks and to be free to experiment. This adventure broadened my artistic vocabulary, challenged me on an ongoing basis, and moved my work forward in exciting and dramatic ways. Most of the work created since completing the Box Project has its roots in this yearlong exploration.~
